Things i’m loving, wanting and excited to try: 3.5.23

Loving… The Way Home on Hallmark! It’s a new series that I’m obsessed with! It’s a drama-filled show with suspense, mystery, and nostalgia that keeps you guessing each week! It’s set in the 90s in a coastal Canadian community following the lives of a multigenerational family. The 90s seem like yesterday but also having a Tv show about the era I grew up in kind of makes me feel old. It just got picked up for season Two, which I’m so excited about! It comes on each Sunday at 9 pm eastern. 

Loving… this striped long-sleeve tee from Target and these 90s mom jeans. These were two of my favorite purchases in February. 

Loving… munching on these chickpea puffs from Hippeas. It’s so hard not to eat one bag in one single day! What are your favorite grab-and-go healthy snacks?

Loving… my new sneakers from Skechers. They are so comfy and the cream color goes with everything.

Loving…Buddha Bowls! I work from home full time and some days I’m in back-to-back meetings from sunrise to sundown. So to make sure I’m eating nourishing meals, I prep proteins, roasted veggies, and complex carbs on Sundays and keep them in my fridge. Last week on a grocery trip to Sprouts I discovered these gluten-free plant-based black bean and plantain balls and falafel balls from Franklin Farms! These are so good and perfect for tossing in a bowl with veggies and rice. Also, I’m trying to eat plant-based lunches every day. 

Loving… Lupini Dip. I met with my dietitian last week and we discuss healthy snack options that don’t have Canola oil. She recommended I swap store-bought hummus for this Lupini Dip from Brami. It arrived in the mail on Saturday and I love it! 

Loving… my new planner! I purchased a customized planner from Plum Paper earlier this year! Friends it’s not working for me!! It’s too big to carry around and I’m not using it consistently. I found another planner from Dayspring for sale for $3. Sometimes the best things in life don’t cost a lot of money. It’s a weekly planner with a weekly habit tracker and goal-setting prompts.

Currently Reading…Real Love: The Art of Mindful Connection! I’ve set a reading goal this year to read 23 books. I’m dedicating 23 minutes a day to reading. So far it’s working because I’m almost done with this book. I’m in a state of self-discovery and self-awareness! This is really helping me focus on self-love and loving others better.

Currently listening to… Guided meditation walks on the Obè fitness app! Getting a dog has been the best thing for my overall physical health. Prior to getting Pebbles I rarely walked in my neighborhood. Each morning we try to walk a mile in the neighborhood if the weather is nice. Most recently I discovered that Obè has guided meditation interval walks. There are about ten on the platform and I’ve made it a mission to finish all of them! This Clinique mascara. I’m looking for a new mascara that lives up to the hype. Still searching for the perfect one that doesn’t flake or make my eyes red. The reviews on this mascara are five stars. 

This quilted jacket from Walmart’s new spring collection is perfect for cooler mornings and nights. 

Can’t wait to try this gluten-free orange almond cake!
