If you take a look in your closet today, do you see lots of grays, blacks, and dark blues? It might be time to update your wardrobe with a few pops of color. I’m not saying you have to completely overhaul what’s hanging in your closet but adding a few pops of color is the easiest way to stand out and exude confidence in your personal style.

In today’s blog post, I’m going to share a few tips on how to brighten up your wardrobe.

Pick a signature color

Let’s start by thinking about your top three favorite colors. What are your favorite colors? Mine are pink, teal, and emerald green. If you have a favorite hue, this is a great place to start to add color to your closet. You can select one of the three colors to be your signature color to wear.

Accessorize with color

Scared to make the full leap into wearing bright hues from head to toe? Start by adding colorful accessories like these navy earrings or this pink purse to your collection. These are simple style techniques to brighten up your look.

Sport a colorful piece of outerwear

Fall is the perfect time of year to sport a bright piece of outerwear. A colorful jacket or coat is a great way to make a bold and beautiful statement without changing your entire wardrobe. It adds a burst of energy to your classic everyday attire. I always get so many compliments when I wear the coat shown below.
